Our philosophy is based upon a simple creed: Harmony of Body, Mind & Spirit. To build true confindence through strength in the Body, knowledge in the Mind, honesty in the Heart. To keep friendship with one another and build a strong, happy community. Never fight to achieve selfish ends but to develop might for right!
In general, kung fu refers to the Chinese martial arts, also called wushu and quanfa. In China it refers to any study, learning, or practice that requires patience, energy, and time to complete. We teach the term in our curriculum as "Skills and abilities developed through hard work over time," truly, in its original meaning, kung fu can refer to any discipline or skill achieved through hard work and practice, not necessarily martial arts. The Chinese literal equivalent of "Chinese martial art" would be 中國武術 zhōngguó wǔshù
Through more than 20 years of exhaustive research, travel, and training, Grandmaster Meng developed the Shaolin Wing Chun Kung Fu Martial Arts System: Hung Lung Sin Fu Faat Mun Paai 空 龍 善 虎 法 門 派, a complete, scientific based martial art system which harmonizes with the physics of the world we live in so that a practitioner can attain maximum efficiency in human combat. By teaching the close quarter combat efficiency of Wing Chun, we ensure that our students are proficient and effective in all ranges of martial arts to include long kicking, long striking, short striking, and grappling. The teaching methodology we use to pass on this martial arts knowledge is the same method they used in the Shaolin Temple hundreds of years ago. We call this method the Shaolin Halls Method of training. Progressing through the Shaolin Halls a practitioner learns to control their mind, their body, and their emotions so that they can be both effective and efficient in their daily lives as well as in a combat situation, in short, 'Harmonizing the Mind, Body, and Spirit."

Meng's Martial Arts of Cincinnati, under the leadership of Master John Lambert, teaches in the very traditional method: "chuen jing tung" in Cantonese, or "authentically passing down." He teaches as he was taught- indeed, IS taught- by his Sifu, Grandmaster Benny Meng, in the most authentic way, passing the art down to his students as it is passed down to him by his teacher.
Master Lambert is a 3rd Generation Disciple of Grand Master Ip Man. He is a Disciple of his Sifu, Grand Master Benny Meng, a Disciple of Grand Master Moy Yat, who was himself a Disciple of Grand Master Ip Man. The legendary Bruce Lee was a student of Grand Master Ip Man, which in turn- following traditional Wing Chun family association- makes him a Sibaak of Grand Master Benny Meng.
